Arsenal's talisman (for last season at least) recently revealed that he has no intention of signing a new contract with the club. The "heart-breaker" wrote in an open letter to fans in his website www.robinvanpersie.com saying "I've thought long and hard about it, but i have decided not to extend my contract."

The Dutchman, who signed for the North-London club in 2004 from Feyenoord, has won one major trophy with Arsenal - the FA cup in 2005. He cited a desire for silverware as his primary motive for deciding to leave the Emirates and will surely attract offers from a host of top European clubs.

The main question orbiting everyone's mind right now is "Where next?" for RVP. Manchester City have been the front runners to capture the signature of the 28 year old but local rivals Manchester United are looking to tempt him to Old Trafford instead. Elsewhere, Italian giants Juventus have shown interest in the forward and Barca and Real Madrid are also rumoured to be linked with the Dutchman.
